On the go is absolutely awesome! My hair is semi thick and it works for touch ups. It gets pretty hot. I have bangs that I have to constantly fix. Easy to use and straightens hair on the go! 🥰

I’ve been looking for a tool like this since forever because I always see people on rednote using this parentheses shaped flat iron for adding volume to their roots.Just grab a piece of hair and put the flat iron in the way such that the part that bulges out is under the hairpiece and you just straighten it back-and-forth a couple of times it creates the most natural curved volume for the roots. Much more natural looking than those jagged straighteners, which creates unnatural creases in the hair. Just do it for a couple of layers more than just the top layer for even more volume. Very convenient since it is wireless as well.

This mini flat iron is perfect for traveling. It is small and light weight. Also, I love that it is cordless. Charging takes a little while. It lasts around 30 minutes, before needing another charge. Does not get super hot, but too high is bad for my hair anyway. Takes a couple passes each section to straighten my curly hair.

Very good performance. The body of the iron is slightly heavy-though this is not a deal breaker. I like the advantage of curling my hair without the cord. The charger is amazing. It gets to a full charge quickly.

PROS: It locks in the closed position.Its compact size is perfect for travel.Feels and looks to be of good quality.It’s cordless and very easy to use.CONS:A full charge only lasts about 30 minutes.The highest heat setting is 395 degrees.It takes a long time to charge to full.If this flat iron had a higher heat setting and would hold a charge for at least 45 minutes, I would be sold! I have a short, angled bob haircut and very thick Latina hair. I always divide my hair into three vertical sections, the back, left and right. The iron did not get hot enough for me to do one pass per piece. It took longer than my regular flat iron due to the “low” heat. I have a titanium flat iron I use on either 401 or 410 degrees. 410 when I have washed, dry hair and 401 on the second or third day without washing my hair. The ceramic plates on this Tymo did not feel as hot as my titanium flat iron. It displays 395 degrees but feels more like 350-365 degrees. So, more passes per piece were required, which took longer. This flat iron is better suited for someone with thinner hair than mine.The concept and quality are great for the right person. Just not for me. Sadly, I will be returning this Tymo. I already own a Tymo hot brush and it has worked great for the last 4 years! But that hot brush is better suited for when I grow my hair out long. I needed something with 1/2 inch plates to be able to get close to my roots. If you’re on the fence about this Tymo, give it a try! I still recommend it.
